Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athletically inclined child and discovered her love for sprinting in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished in second place in the 200 meters at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for an official career at Adidas in 2003. She after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Her first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics, in Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by running 200m in 22.18 seconds. The year 2005 was the time she became the world's youngest champion in 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007 beating her long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at the Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three in all her competitions.
