Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November, 1985, in Los Angeles. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's athletic talent was apparent from the time she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition she was ranked in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix graduated from high school and signed a pro-contract with Adidas. In the year 2004, she enrolled in her first year at the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. The year 2005 was the time she was the youngest world champion of 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, defeating her longtime Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently among the top three athletes in each of her events.
